Up for sale is an original teakwood decking piece from the USS New Jersey BB62. The teakwood piece is mounted, together with a ceramic pig ,on a wooden base measuring aprpoximately 4.5 x 2.5 inches. The teakwood is about 2 inches tall and 1 inch thick and 1.25 inches wide and it is tapered. The bottom of the base has a piece of paper glued on it that reads: "USS New Jersey BB62, original teakwood decking laid in 1942, removed during reacitvation at Long Beach Naval Shipyard in 1981, commisioned Dec 28, 1982."
The wood is solid, bottom has some discoloration spots, and the pig figure's color is somewhat faded or maybe it's just dusty.
